Day Thirty-Six: Color Mixing Charts

Started off "color week" with an easy one. We started out with brand new sets of watercolors (and really from there no matter what I had them do, I was a hero!) Then I gave each kid a piece of paper with 3 big circles for the primary colors (red, blue, yellow) and had them paint them in. From there Jack, EJ and I talked about mixing colors and EJ painted in her center circles. Jack's paper had more mini circles so he could play more with mixing to get 3 different shades between each big circle. He had a blast playing with it and I think he truly felt like an artist in the end (he gave all the mixed shades fancy names like "teal" and "really red orange" & talked to Matt extensively about mixing color too!

Here is their hard work...
