Recipes & a bonus Olivia pic

By request here are the recipes for the Valentine's treats (well the ones you would need recipes for at least)...

Marshmallow Fudge (courtesy of Real Simple)
12 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
2- 14 oz cans sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

Heat the milk and pour over chocolate; stir until melted. Stir in the marshmallows and pour into parchment-lines 8" square baking pan. Refrigerate until firm; at least 12 hours. Cut into 36 squares.

M&M Cookies
2 3/4 cups flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 t vanilla
1/2 t water
2 eggs
1 medium bag of plain M&Ms

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a different bowl, combine shortening, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla & water. Beat until creamy. Beat in 2 eggs. Add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in around 3/4 bag of M&Ms. Using a teaspoon, drop onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes (I actually did 8 but our oven is whack). Makes 3-4 dozen.

And now for you that hung in there for the pics! I give you my non-crawling, but no problem getting around daughter IN the book basket!

She never got upset about it either...she is only looking because I called her for this second photo. This one is gonna be trouble!
