Exercise motivation...revisited

Remember this post?

Let's just say a lot of those same issues are coming back to me. And as usual, it's not like I don't know what to do about it. What I need to do is get my butt back on the treadmill, but without the motivation (and apparently not being happy with my body isn't enough motivation), it just isn't happening. Like for more than two weeks I've been thinking about it, but that meant I weighed myself twice and ran zero times! What follow through I have, huh?

Looks like I need to stick with what works right? Yep, still my all-time best trainer, Jack! We've set a new goal and he made up a brand new chart too. 150 miles in 35 days...there will be no skipping days this time around with that kind of goal!

It is day 2 and hopefully as you are reading this, I am on the treadmill finishing up mile 8 or 9! Because if I'm not...I'm gonna hear it from Jack for sure!

I absolutely love this!! Jackie must be so proud that you are getting your kids involved in fitness too :)

I know you aren't necessarily looking for suggestions, but have you considered entering a race? You would be amazed at how many ages and levels get involved in those things - and 5Ks, in particular, are really easy to find. Once I lost all the weight I wanted to lose I had to find new motivation to keep running, and that's what worked best for me. Running then becomes a sport that you need to train for, not just something you do to burn calories.

Not for everyone, but just thought I'd mention it!

GOOD GIRL!! I'm proud of you too! Jack was definitely a good trainer for you before and I know he'll do it again! and it's funny because yesterday as I was running I was totally thinking about ways to help you get back into it!! Guess you didn't need me...maybe just my thoughts were enough :)

Alice could use a Jack. she was complaining just the other day that she wanted a Jillian to be yelling at her for motivation. I'm not so good, as I STILL haven't made it to the gym with Alice, despite now having a membership.
