Deck Set

I bought this little patio set for our deck. It's nothing gorgeous or lush, but it met our main needs. Those needs being: that it seats a couple people in a small space, that it is metal so it can be out in all kinds of weather (we have no canopy over the deck), that is can be stored easily for winter (both table & chairs fold up) and that it is incredibly inexpensive! It met all of the above.

However, what it is not is incredibly eye-catching or pretty. So...keeping in mind that I live with a very conservative man and kids of both genders, what color should I spray paint this set to liven things up a bit on the back deck?

{the bigger view of the patio...only now Jack's flowers are brightening up the right side of the back door}

I love bright, sunny colors outside... maybe an orange or a turquoise? Or you could skip the spray paint altogether and just get some cute bright cushions for the chairs. (I think I saw some major sale signs in Target's "outdoor living" section the other day!!)

I'm thinking either turquoise or a bright blue. I also like Rachel's idea of just buying some bright cushions and not having to deal with the pain of painting.

Yellow! But I will second Rachel's comment about cushions. And then maybe you could wrap the legs of the table with ribbon to give it some color? Then you can change the "look" of your table all year long!

How about dark brown to match the fence? (Kidding of course!)

I would go with buttery yellow or turquoise. Love spray paint!

how about yellow, chocolate (for the brown) and orange (pulling into the new inside)? sunny, conservative (bc you're in the same section of the color wheel), but happy and cheery and fun bc of the yellow-orange. i mean, there are lots of yellows and oranges!

and can i recommend the spray paint with the wider button that keeps the paint off your finger and doesn't create a cramp for the rest of the day-week-month?!

(i might have been doing some painting lately. i may have bought the wrong can in an effort to save a buck. i might have regretted it.)
