End of Jack's School Year

Today is Jack's last day of school and they will be having a Luau Party to celebrate (complete with a pretend plan ride to Hawaii). Sadly (for me) the parents aren't invited on that trip, instead we spent a lot of the day yesterday at school. First we had an awesome picnic lunch outside with all of the kindergarten classes (so old friends & new in one place) and a special ice cream dessert! Then in the afternoon they put on two plays for us! And they were pretty darn awesome...really!!

This is Jack & his buddy Sammy right before the play started. They were the narrators, so not too much going on costume-wise. Jack just told me he had to dress "kind of fancy"...that's a polo shirt right?

Just to prove that there was an actual play or two, here are the billy goats...

the three little pigs...

and the troll.

After school Matt took Olivia home so she could finish up her nap and he could work, and I stayed on the playground with the big kids. I let them stay until there was no one left and then we headed home. Armed with my camera and no stroller, I could not resist capturing these two.

I can't wait for Friday!

That picture makes me misty. We have 10 days left of kindergarten, and I am spending every minute possible in the classroom. I don't want this special time to end! At least there's summer to look forward to....

Love that picture of Jack & EJ! Totally pulled at my heartstrings & I've never even met the cuties. Enjoy the excitement of the end of school & I look forward to reading about all the clever things you do over the summer!
