Pennant Garland

I'm knee deep in my office clean-out/reorganization (literally...sad, but true!) finally! Yep, this was a project I said I would start over a month ago (and should have started way before that), but just couldn't get myself motivated to get going on it. Turns out that I just needed a little inspiration. I got started today after completing this little beauty last night...

I have seen so many different crochet garlands and loved them. Then I saw this and knew I had to make something like it for the office/craft room. Leave it to Prudent Baby to have the perfect (and free) pattern for me. I have to say thank you again to Jacinda for not only posting a clear and easy pattern, but for being quick to answer questions very quickly when I needed help!

I made the pennants just a tiny bit bigger than the pattern but not too much as I still wanted that "cute" vibe. They are very simple to do, so much so that I made quite a few of them in the car on our recent road trip. Here they are in progress...

And here is the final garland hung over the window in the office. I am planning to do a much longer version for the opposite wall too, but this little addition to the office forced my hand this afternoon and I finally got to work on the piles of junk!

Once the office is put together again, I will add in the reading corner we promised the kids at Christmas. Hopefully it will be soon and I promise to post photos as soon as possible, but I can assure you that when I do, this pennant garland will make even more sense! I love it, but can't wait to get the other one done as the window is behind me so I can't see it!
