Pumpkin Farm Visit

Anyone who lives in the Midwest knows that the weather can be odd sometimes. That being said, I have NEVER visited the pumpkin farm in flip flops & a sleeveless shirt before! In fact, last year was pretty darn warm and that meant a light sweater with no jacket and only light hats for the kids (I haven't even gotten the kids' hats for this year out yet!). So we went, we wore shorts, we picked out pumpkins and we ate yummy food!

Some of us may even be a little sunburn (or it could just be from being too hot). My kids have never been happier than to see their water bottles went we completed the actual farm portion of the day!

Then it was apple-time...

Our little lady tried to stay clean as long as possible...

The first-timer...

When I linked last year's post, I read that Olivia got injured which I didn't remember (in full disclosure we talked all morning about how this was Liv's first trip to the pumpkin farm, so...probably not so surprising). Anyway, I think we might have to watch out for Olivia each year. See the pic below? The green bar at the top is the tractor wagon railing, the hay bale at the bottom is the seat, and the space in the middle? Let's just say it almost fits one Olivia, that I've never been happier to see Olivia hit her head on something and that Matt was super quick in grabbing her! (Note to Grandmas: we were not moving and she somehow fell back while sitting, but she was fine!)

Hope you find your perfect pumpkin too!

You've now experienced how we visit the pumpkin patch each year - shorts and flip flops. I'm always mad because I want it to be chilly so I can fully enjoy my pumpkin spice latte but it never seems to work out that way. I'm also sad to say we're not privvy to all that yummy food. Looks like just another benefit of possibly moving to the midwest :-)

The kids look like they had the perfect time - so fun!
