Funny Pages

My big kid is sitting next to me reading comics from the newspaper.  He told me he loves comics.  It made me think of a comic I used to love.  How old do you think you need to be to "get" Calvin & Hobbes?  What other comics do you think you I could get Jack hooked on?  I really think he could use some of this (and some extra laughs) in his life!

From the newspaper? Does anybody get a printed copy delivered anymore? I'm not even sure what comics are out there anymore.

Mad got a hold of my Calvin and Hobbes books earlier this year with her father's encouragement. She loves 'em! I think Jack might not "get" everything but enough to find the funny in them. Don't know if your paper runs "Pickles" but our family loves that strip as well. I remember liking Garfield too at that age.

I don't think I've read the comics since i was 10..but I loved me some good old Peanuts..every weekend, without fail! oh and I think I appreciate Family Circle now :)

I think I got into the comics most between the ages of 8-11. Funny you should post this, I just did a comics themed birthday party for my nephew. As a fellow party-lovin' gal if you're interested in checking it out, you can find it here (I hope that worked...)
