Work-in-Progress Wednesday 12

I'm still plugging along on the soccer ball pillow.  I've got all the pieces stitched with their ends woven in and started the joining process yesterday.  Right now it just looks like a giant flower, but I laid out the next couple joins to give you an idea of where it is headed.  I am guessing it is going to be much bigger than I anticipated.  I can't wait to see for sure!

That is SO cool! And it does look pretty big, which I'm sure he'll love. If things get too out of hand, he can always use it as a beanbag chair. :)

This looks great! I wish I had thought of this gift idea years ago when my sister was playing soccer!

I can't wait to see this finished, either---the panels look awesome, I've never seen African violets done in black and white before and they look really good! (And what a great gift idea, too.)

He is going to love it! There is the risk of him treating it like an actual soccer ball...

Wow, thank you so much. I was at a loss for what to make for my soccer obsessed 14 year old son (it gets harder to find hand made presents for that age) and now I know that this is it!! I really appreciate it.
