Working for Summer

I know you probably think this is a before shot, but I must admit it is the after.  This area is the wall of our office and it holds stationery, paper, all my craft stuff and most importantly, all the kids' craft stuff.  It is used all year long (often abused all year long) and really needed a good sorting.  My biggest focus was to get my craft stuff and all the bigger "raw materials" type of things (egg cartons, milk jugs, etc) up on the top shelves making more space on the bottom two shelves for the things the kids use all the time (pipe cleaners, eyes, pom poms, stickers, beans, tp tubes) to build creations of their own.  It doesn't really need to be pretty, just accessible.  I'm ready for summer crafting!

Love the reality -- so many of these blogs post these perfect craft rooms that I swear they probably freak out when something is amiss. Yours is awesome and leads to what it is supposed to.. fun and creativity!

I'm glad to see a craft space that looks like a family uses it! For years I've stored craft supplies on my (now teenage) son's changing table!

Awesome "after" picture. You put me to shame! My crafting space is so cluttered and disorganized compared to yours. I like the green tubs that you have on the shelves.

I love that you have this much room. We have a craft table and it is always overflowing with stuff, this is so much more organised!!
